Newburgh Urban Farm and Food is Hiring!

Newburgh Urban Farm and Food, Inc. (NUFFI) in Newburgh NY is hiring a seasonal assistant grower for the Downing Park Urban Farm (DPUF). The position begins on March 31 st and goes through the end of November.

DPUF produces thousands of pounds of fresh produce annually, most of which is donated to local food pantries. A small percentage of produce is sold on a weekly basis from the farm and farmers’ markets. The farm also produces cut flowers. Sales of produce and flowers are used to support our mission to meet the nutritional and food needs of people in our community.

Ideal candidates have at least two seasons of farming/gardening production experience; experience working with volunteers and selling at Farmers’ Markets. Compensation is $20/hour with paid time off.
